Training for coaching and mentoring skills

Coaching and mentoring courses will be available free of charge under a pilot programme to train coaches and mentors.

The coaching and mentoring skills training programme will provide an opportunity for individuals in private and third sector business in Wales to develop skills in coaching and mentoring and to achieve a qualification. It will also equip the individuals who take part with the ability to train others to coach and/or mentor in the wider Welsh economy. Overall it is hoped that the participants on the programme will use their newly acquired skills to support individuals within their organisations and to pass on the learning to others.

Welsh Government is in the process of issuing tender documents for the supply of this provision and it is hoped that the pilot programme will be launched in the next couple of months.
